Meet Your Instructor: Nicole– Expert Swim Instructor & Passionate Water Safety Advocate Welcome! I'm Nicole, and I'm so excited to be a part of your or your child's swimming journey. Teaching swimming is not just my job—it's my passion. I have been teaching swimming lessons since 2000, and over the years, I've had the privilege of working with swimmers of all ages and skill levels. From toddlers taking their first splash to adults aiming to improve their technique, I am dedicated to making each lesson a rewarding and enjoyable experience. My Journey and Qualifications As a Swim Instructor Trainer, I have been able to pass on my knowledge and expertise to other instructors, helping to shape the future of swimming lessons in our community. This role has allowed me to stay at the forefront of the latest swim techniques and safety practices, ensuring that I can offer the most effective and up-to-date lessons to my students. My teaching journey has been a lifelong adventure, driven by my love for the water. I hold certifications from the American Red Cross and the American Heart Association, which allows me to offer high-quality swim and safety instruction. My goal is to instill confidence in every swimmer I teach—whether you're just beginning, working on improving technique, or preparing for swim team competitions. I take great pride in my ability to teach year-round, regardless of the season, so that you or your child can continue to improve and build on skills in any weather. I believe that swimming is a vital life skill, and it’s important to practice and reinforce those skills all year long. Specialized Instruction for All Ages Although I have worked with swimmers of all ages, I have a special place in my heart for teaching preschoolers, toddlers, and youth swimmers. Helping young children develop water safety skills and the confidence to explore the water safely is incredibly rewarding. I absolutely love watching the look on their faces when they learn a new skill or overcome a fear in the water—it’s what keeps me motivated every day! In addition to working with young children, I also enjoy teaching adult swimmers, whether they're beginners, fearful of the water, or looking to improve their swimming technique. I know that adults often face unique challenges in learning how to swim, and I make it my goal to create a relaxed and supportive environment where adults feel comfortable and confident in the water. What Sets My Lessons Apart? Every lesson I teach is personalized and designed to meet each swimmer's specific needs. I understand that each individual has different goals, learning styles, and experiences, so I tailor my approach to ensure that everyone gets the most out of their lessons. Whether you're working on building water confidence, mastering breathing techniques, or perfecting your strokes, I will be there to guide you every step of the way. One of the things I love most about teaching swimming is that it’s not just about the technical skills—it’s also about creating a sense of joy and love for the water. Swimming should be fun and exciting, not stressful or intimidating. That’s why I work hard to make each lesson engaging, enjoyable, and rewarding. When you love what you're doing, it doesn’t feel like work—and that’s how I want my students to feel too! I firmly believe in the power of water safety and actively promote safe practices both in and out of the pool. As part of my commitment to water safety, I have created a podcast dedicated to spreading knowledge about how to stay safe around water. Whether it’s for families, children, or adults, I strive to educate others on how to reduce risks and be prepared for emergencies. Books on Swimming In addition to my work as a swim instructor and trainer, I am also a published author of books on swimming. These books reflect my years of experience and are designed to help swimmers of all ages improve their skills, overcome fears, and gain a better understanding of water safety. Writing these books was another way for me to reach a larger audience and share my passion for swimming and water safety. Why I Love Teaching Swimming Swimming has always been my passion. It’s a sport that offers something for everyone—whether you’re looking for fitness, fun, or life-saving skills. The water has a unique way of bringing people together and offering a sense of freedom, and I want everyone to experience that joy. What motivates me each day is the chance to make a positive impact on someone’s life by teaching them how to be confident, safe, and comfortable in the water. I’ve seen firsthand how learning to swim can change people’s lives—whether it’s helping someone overcome a fear of water or watching a child reach new milestones. There’s nothing more fulfilling to me than seeing a student grow in confidence, strength, and ability. My Teaching Philosophy My teaching philosophy is built around creating a safe, encouraging, and fun environment for my students. I believe that the best way to learn to swim is through a mix of patience, persistence, and positive reinforcement. I tailor my lessons to each swimmer's specific needs and learning pace. Whether you're nervous about getting in the water, ready to conquer new swimming techniques, or looking to perfect your strokes, I will work with you every step of the way to achieve your goals. I also believe in building a strong foundation—whether it’s for water safety or swim techniques. My approach ensures that every swimmer, no matter their level, learns the fundamentals before progressing to more advanced skills. I understand that everyone learns at their own pace, and I take the time to ensure that my students are comfortable with each new step before moving on. Let's Make Swimming Fun! Above all, I want my students to have fun in the water. I know that swimming can sometimes be intimidating, but I believe that by creating a relaxed, positive, and enjoyable experience, every
